More resistant to cold and droughts, our two selected apple tree varieties (“Princes” and Brazilian born “EVA”) are can better support all those non-farming communities like the Taquiña secondary school, the Maria Cristina center for kids with disabilities, etc. They are also planted in some of the certified agroecological communities (Azirumarca and Carcaje) to increase in-farm biodiversity and diversify the producers’ incomes.
