How does it work?
As soon as we receive your purchase, we will buy the selected seedling from a local nursery in Cochabamba (in the Andean region of Bolivia) and deliver it to an agroecological farming community supervised by our business partner AGRECOL Andes. The leader of that farming community will then pass the seedling to one of the community members that volunteered to adopt carbon trees. He/she will plant it on his/her farm patch and manage it with love and consolidated agroecological practices learned at AGRECOL Andes workshops. Your seedling will grow healthy and without any synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.
Where is Cochabamba?

Who will adopt the carbon trees?
Our incredible, certified agroecological farming communities
Planting native carbon trees to offset carbon emissions would not be a successful project if nobody took good care of the tree growth. For this task, we decided to rely on the SPG-certified agroecological farming communities supervised by our partner AGRECOL Andes. They are the ones who will do the groundwork and turn your small seedling into a healthy and productive fruit tree.

The agroecological farming communities of the Cercado – Tirani & Taquiña districts (Cochabamba, Bolivia), which adopted the first seven cherimoya seedlings in December 2020.
Personalizing your carbon tree
Before delivering the seedling to the farming community, it is labelled with your name and “carbon donator” certificate. Once the seedling is adopted by a local producer, it is georeferenced and photographed. We will then send you the photo and the name of the tree adopter to your email address, and later on send you additional photos so that you can monitor your tree growth throughout the year.
